Tommi Parzinger (1903-1981)

b. Munich, Germany

Parzinger began practicing freelance design in a variety of mediums (ceramics, lighting, textiles, furniture, and wallpaper) in Germany prior to moving to the United States in the early thirties, after winning a poster design contest held by a steamship company (North German Lloyd). He settled in New York in 1938, three years later.

Companies baring association to Parzinger include but are not limited to Rena Rosenthal (Smart Furniture and Accessories Shop), Charak of Boston, Parzinger Inc. (later renamed "Parzinger Originals"), Doryln, Hofstatter Willow & Reed, and Salterini.
